Problems We Solve

Manufacturer of High Quality Pigment

If any of these pigment problems sound familiar, our technical team can help. Every grade we ship is engineered to eliminate the issues below.

Lot-to-lot shade drift forcing reformulation?

Our statistical process controls and spectrophotometric batch validation deliver ΔE-controlled shade consistency, lot after lot. No mid-production colour corrections.

Pigment burning out at high processing temperatures?

Heat-stable grades validated up to 300°C for HDPE, PP, PVC, PET and engineering polymers. Shade integrity holds through injection moulding and extrusion cycles.

Outdoor coatings fading within months?

Lightfastness rated up to 8 on the Blue Wool scale (ISO 105-B02). Architectural, automotive and infrastructure grades hold shade through accelerated UV weathering.

Bleeding into adjacent layers or rubber matrix?

Bleed-resistant azo and benzimidazolone grades engineered for laminates, rubber compounding and multi-layer packaging. Migration tests documented per shipment.

Poor dispersion clogging filters and slowing production?

Surface-treated grades with laser-validated particle-size distribution. Fine, narrow PSD for clean dispersion in water-based, solvent-borne and powder coating systems.

Worried about banned aromatic amines in your supply?

Every grade is REACH and RoHS compliant and free from the 24 banned aromatic amines. Full Safety Data Sheets and Certificates of Analysis ship with every consignment.

Customs holding shipments over missing documentation?

COA, SDS, REACH compliance and full traceability paperwork dispatched with every international order. Our exports team anticipates customs requirements before they delay you.

Bulk shipments not matching the qualified sample?

Sample and bulk are produced under identical specifications and batch-tested against the same reference. What you qualify in the lab is what arrives at scale.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pigment Questions, Answered

Common questions from formulators, procurement teams, and technical buyers about organic pigment selection, compliance, and sourcing.

How do I choose the right organic pigment for my application?

Start by identifying your binder system (water-based / solvent-borne / polymer), maximum processing temperature (60-300°C), required Blue Wool lightfastness (1-8), and any chemical or regulatory requirements (REACH, RoHS, food contact). Match these to a candidate pigment's datasheet, request a free 50-100g sample, run a pilot batch, then place a bulk order against the qualified specification.

What is the difference between azo, diarylide and benzimidazolone pigments?

Monoazo pigments (PY1, PY3, PY74, PR2, PR3) are cost-effective bright colours for inks and architectural paints. Diarylide yellows and oranges (PY12, PY13, PY83, PO13, PO34) offer higher strength for inks, plastics and masterbatch. Benzimidazolone grades (PY151, PY154, PY180, PO36, PO64) are our high-performance line, with the heat stability and lightfastness needed for automotive, powder coatings and engineering plastics.

What lightfastness do I need for outdoor coatings?

For exterior architectural paints, automotive refinish, and infrastructure coatings, you need a Blue Wool lightfastness rating of 7-8 (ISO 105-B02). Recommended grades from our range: PY154 and PY151 (benzimidazolone yellows), PY83 (diarylide HR), PY174 (greenish yellow), and PR170 (premium naphthol red). These hold shade through years of direct outdoor sun exposure.

Are your pigments REACH and RoHS compliant?

Yes. Every Kanani Pigment & Paste grade is REACH compliant and free from the 24 banned aromatic amines under EU Directive 2002/61/EC. All grades are also RoHS compliant with no detectable lead, cadmium, mercury, or hexavalent chromium above threshold limits. Compliance declarations and Safety Data Sheets ship with every consignment.

What pigments work for plastic masterbatch processed at 280-300°C?

For HDPE, PP, PVC and engineering polymers processed at high temperatures, choose heat-stable benzimidazolone grades such as PY154, PY151, PY180, PO36 and PO64, along with diarylide HR PY83. Lower-heat monoazo grades like PY3, PY14 and PY74 are better suited to inks and architectural paints than high-temperature masterbatch. Share your processing temperature and we will recommend the right grade.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) and lead time?

Most popular grades are available from 25 kg minimums. Standard grades that we maintain in buffer stock typically ship within 7-10 days of order confirmation. Custom grades may require 4-6 weeks. We provide free 50-100g evaluation samples for any grade so you can qualify before bulk ordering.

Will the bulk shipment match my qualified sample?

Yes. Sample and bulk are produced under identical specifications and batch-tested against the same reference standard via spectrophotometer (target ΔE less than 1.0). What you qualify in your lab is what arrives in the bulk container. Every batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis documenting actual measured values.

Do you ship pigments internationally with full documentation?

Yes. We export to 30+ countries with full export documentation: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading or Air Waybill, Certificate of Analysis (COA), Safety Data Sheet (SDS), REACH compliance declaration, RoHS certificate, and any country-specific certifications. Active markets include India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa.
